Gross Schechter Day School -Shabbos Project Programming & Video

Gross Schechter Day School

Schechter is making an  ALL SCHOOL MUSIC VIDEO! It’s a parody to Cole Porter’s “Let’s Fall in Love” but it’s “Let’s Keep Shabbat!” We will get our whole student body and staff involved. We will even grab some families to pull them in as well. The video will end with kids telling us what Shabbat means to them. We will post the video on our website, facebook– to welcome Shabbat.
We are also doing some Shabbos art projects with pre-school leading up to that weekend.

This month, we welcome our friends from Indiana University Hillel, the national-award winning a cappella group Hooshir, along with over 100 representatives from the regional NFTY-NEL conference. They will bring an energy to our service that will be second to none.

7:30pm TGIS Service—As in the previous two years past, our TGIS service with Hooshir is an absolutely spiritual highlight of the year. Their soaring harmonies and deep melodies will have you singing all night.
8:30pm Hooshir Oneg Concert—Grab a cup of coffee, a yummy treat, and settle in for a rousing and harmonious concert by our IU friends.
